Front Entry

A welcoming
way home.

Stone paths and broad steps guide arrival through layered planting to the front porch. Native plants complement traditional boxwood, retaining the original garden and its formal parterres. Columnar native dogwoods provide an upright, architectural form, while native grasses and groundcovers weave through the planting.

Compost tea applications form part of a more holistic, adaptive approach to caring for the boxwoods. The aim is to retain the original planting, avoid unnecessary removal, and continue the garden’s legacy while responding to the pest pressures and maintenance demands of formally clipped boxwood.
