A small yard is redesigned for greater usability, with connected decks, granite stepping stones, and an outdoor shower creating places to move, gather, and pause. Planting softens the hardscape, while a rain garden receives runoff from the downspout and shower. Meadow installation and naturalized planting are proposed for the unused back yard around the rain garden, extending habitat and reducing the area of lawn to maintain. The plan brings these elements together in a compact, practical outdoor space.
