THE LANDSCAPE
Restoring the edge. Reconnecting an ecosystem.
Failing dry-stack walls along the pond’s edge were removed and replaced with natural boulder retention and native plantings, creating a more varied shoreline that supports habitat. Accumulated silt was dredged from the pond to help establish a more hospitable environment for aquatic life. Together, the reshaped banks and planted edges reconnect the water with the surrounding landscape.
